Corby Serrano, LCSW, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over a decade of experience providing psychotherapy to individuals and couples in private practice. He earned his Master’s Degree in Social Work from New York University and holds advanced training in both psychoanalysis and psychotherapy. His clinical work is grounded in psychodynamic theory and is informed by a deep commitment to social justice and trauma-informed care.

Throughout his career, Corby has held several leadership roles in mission-driven organizations. He served as Director at Housing Works, a nonprofit dedicated to ending the dual crises of homelessness and AIDS. He later joined the Ali Forney Center as Senior Director of Drop-In Services, leading the nation’s largest 24-hour program for homeless LGBTQ youth. He continues his involvement with the organization as a member of the Board of Directors and Co-Chair of the Programs and Youth Services Committee.

Corby also served as Executive Director of The National Institute for the Psychotherapies (NIP) Training Institute, where he oversaw postgraduate psychoanalytic and psychotherapy training. He currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors and Co-Director of NIP’s Psychodynamic Approaches Certificate Program.

His clinical expertise includes the treatment of anxiety, depression, trauma, gender identity and sexuality, and major life transitions. He is licensed to practice in New York State and is an active member of the New York State Society for Clinical Social Workers and the American Association for Psychoanalysis in Clinical Social Work.
